About Us
An NDG favorite since 1939
In 1939, Sante Forlini opened his first market in NDG.
His nickname... Tranzo... which came from a misunderstanding of the French expression "trente sous" became synonymous for quality with a personal touch.
Deeply rooted in the community, Boucherie Tranzo carries on Sante Forlini's traditions to this day!

Fresh and High Quality Meat
As your neighbourhood butchers, we are proud to offer you a wide selection of high-quality meats including beef, poultry, lamb, pork and veal.
At Tranzo, you can find traditional cuts of meat as well as specialty cuts.
You can also find our “famous” sausages, which we have been making since 1965.
Our delicious porchetta is equally famous and sought after. For 6 hours, it is slow-roasted to perfection.
In our Deli Section, we carry an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses. Many of our deli products are from Italy.
We believe in affordable prices, great products and personal, friendly service.

Tranzo Beer
In the summer of 2022, we proudly launched our line of Tranzo beer, in honour of our founder Sante Forlini.
For your enjoyment, we carry a Lager, Pilsner and IPA.
The Tranzo beer is crafted at St Luke's brewery in Ste-Hyacinthe.
